Guest blog / Blognod gwadd: The final editions of ‘The Dragon Has Landed’
Editor of the Welsh International Football Fanzine The Dragon Has Landed, Neil Dymock, is calling it day after France. If you want to get hold of the final copies of this iconic fanzine Neil explains how.
As some of you know, I have planned for some time to stop issuing The Dragon Has Landed after France after 14 years of producing the fanzine, finishing on 86 issues.
The Dragon Has Landed has been in circulation since 2002. It contains 40 pages of match reports, fan profiles, fixtures, supporters’ team news, the Gôl charity, competitions, quizzes, ex-player interviews, Ray Scowls, articles and opinions.
The fanzine will be available by subscription with a price of £12 for the 6 issues, until 1 June. Fanzines will be posted out as follows:
- 3 June Sweden / Slovakia issue
- 8 June England issue
- 15 June Russia issue
- 23 June Last 16 issue (provisional)
- 30 June QF issue (provisional)
- 7 July Final issue (provisional)
There wont be an issue for the semi-finals. If we get knocked out the 6 game subscription will finish with the Autumn home games, depending how many games are left.
If you would like to take out a final subscription for yourself, family or friends please email dragonhaslanded3@aol.com with your address and payment details will be sent. Please pass onto anyone who supports Welsh International Football and may be interested in subscribing for these final 6 issues.
Thanks to everyone who has supported The Dragon Has Landed since that first game against Croatia in 2002.
Cheers/Diolch
Neil
