Whether you’re travelling to and around France by plane, train or automobile (or boat), Podcast Pêl-droed have collaborated with Media Wales senior multimedia journalist and purveyor of quality Welsh music playlists, David Owens, to put together your perfect musical companion to while away the hours and miles on the road:

In order to qualify for our playlist a song must comply with one of the following:
- be by a band from, or with a connection to, Wales
- be France themed
- be Wales themed
- have a football reference (no matter how tenuous…)
- be on Storify (so sadly Anrhefn’s mighty ‘Rhedeg i Paris’ doesn’t make it; nor does Gorky Zygotic Mynci’s exquisite ‘The South Of France‘)
No Scottish bands are eligible either. So no Icicle Works, Mogwai, Belle & Sebastian, Big Country or The Beta Band. If they don’t like it, they can take it up with Joe Jordan.
We’ve not included the current releases by the likes of Argument City, Manic Street Preachers, Chris Phillips and Super Furry Animals. These and numerous other Euro 2016 songs can be found in a helpful playlist previously compiled by David.
